The Park 'O Vagnitiello in Ischia is a real paradise surrounded by a lavish nature. It stands on a bay you can only reach by foot or small vehicles such as the small private minibus that offers free transfers from Casamicciola to 'O Vagnitiello and back.
Our park was founded in the 50s and takes its name from the legend of the Bagnitiello spring: the surroundings have been renowned since ancient times for the thermal waters of Casamicciola. Doctor Jasolino called them the most important thermal waters of Ischia.

The Bagnitiello spring is rooted in legend. You can find traces of this ancient tradition in the poem "Inarime o I bagni di Ischia" written by the Jesuit monk Camillo Eucherio Quinzi and published in 1726. Acmeno, the son of a nymph that used to live on the island of Ischia, is the main character. The young man falls into a river and, while hopelessly screaming for help, starts to pray to the gods. Jupiter hears his prayers and transforms him into a spring.
